Jan works with crisp lines and solid black. His portfolio includes Polynesian-, Māori- and Marquesan-inspired work, with attention to composition and its meaning for the wearer.

His other great love is music, especially Dutch sentimental songs known as smartlappen. Whether singing in a pub or recording in a studio, his enthusiasm comes through. After a long tattoo session his voice can sound a little gravelly, but his sense of humour stays intact. Expect plenty of personality and perhaps a song along the way.
